Knitted Lace-edged Tea Towels

Four lace-edged tea towels suitable for a gift. These towels have lace at each end for an attractive finish.

Materials 

2 x 50 g balls DMC 20 
Needles 2 mm (14)
Tea towels


TEA TOWEL 1
Cast on 4 sts.

Row1: sl 1, kl, m2, k2.
Row 2: k3, p1, k2. 
Row 3: sl 1, k5. 
Row 4: k6. 
Row 5: sl 1, k1, m2, k2 tog, m2, k2. 
Row 6: k3, (p1, k2) twice. 
Row 7: sl 1, 
k8. Row 8: Cast off 5 sts, k3. 
Repeat rows 1-8 until length desired.

TEA TOWEL 2
Cast on 6 sts. 

Row 1: m1, p2 tog, k3. K in f & b of next st. 
Row 2: k5, m1, p2 tog. 
Row 3: m1, p2 tog, k1, (m2, k2 tog) twice. 
Row 4: (k2, p1) twice, k1 ml, p2 tog. 
Row 5: m1, p2 tog, k7. 
Row 6: Cast off 3 sts. K3, ml, p2 tog. 
Repeat rows 1-6 until length desired.

TEA TOWEL 3
Cast on 5 sts. 

Row 1: k1, m1, k2 tog, m2, k2. 
Row 2: k2, (k1, p1) in m2 of previous row, k3. 
Row 3: kl, m1, k2 tog, k4. 
Row 4: Cast off 2 sts. K4. 
Repeat rows 1-4 until length desired.

TEA TOWEL 4
Cast on 7 sts. 

Row1: sl 1, p2, m1, p2 tog, m2, p2 tog. 
Row 2: m1, k2, p1, k2, m1, k2 tog, kl. 
Row 3: sl 1, p2, m1, p2 tog, p4. 
Row 4: Cast off 2 sts. K3, m1, k2 tog, k1. 
Repeat rows 1-4 until length desired.
